Cloud Architect Engineer – Azure

About the role

Artefact is seeking a senior Cloud Architect Engineer specialized in Azure to design, implement and oversee robust cloud solutions for its data‑driven clients. You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure cloud architectures align with strategic goals, cost efficiency and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of Azure‑based, on‑premise, and hybrid cloud infrastructures that meet business requirements.
• Define and enforce best practices for cloud security, networking, compliance, and operations.
• Integrate cloud platforms with data pipelines, storage, and compute services.
• Standardize coding, deployment and monitoring practices across all cloud environments.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring and scaling of cloud resources.
• Resolve complex technical challenges and provide guidance across multiple cloud projects.
• Mentor and coach cloud engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and team growth.
• Manage client expectations regarding timelines, deliverables and outcomes.
• Support Artefact’s growth by maintaining technology partnerships and contributing to technical proposals.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale Azure architectures for enterprise customers.
• Strong expertise in cloud security, networking and compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
