Coastal Manager

About the role

ADEC Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Senior Coastal Manager to lead coastal and maritime engineering projects. The role involves overseeing design, modelling, and delivery of shoreline protection, marine infrastructure, ports, marinas, breakwaters, dredging and reclamation works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage coastal engineering design and numerical modelling activities for marine and coastal infrastructure projects.
• Oversee technical deliverables, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with relevant standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and review engineering studies.
• Support business development through client engagement, proposal preparation and capability development.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement within the consulting environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Coastal/Marine Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in coastal engineering, marine infrastructure, numerical modelling and project management.
• Strong knowledge of coastal processes, hydrodynamics, sediment transport and shoreline protection.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management and team development abilities in an international consulting setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with coastal modelling software such as MIKE 21, SWAN and CMS‑WAVE.
• Experience in numerical modelling, project planning and execution for marine structures.
