Collection Strategy Analyst

About the role

The Collection Strategy Analyst will design, monitor, and optimise collections strategies throughout the delinquency lifecycle. Working at the intersection of data analytics, credit risk, and operations, you will translate portfolio behaviour into actionable plans that boost recovery rates, minimise credit losses, and improve customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine segmentation‑based collections strategies for early, mid, late and pre‑write‑off DPD buckets.
• Design treatment paths (SMS, IVR, agent, legal, settlement) by risk segment, product and exposure tier.
• Build and maintain roll‑rate, cure‑rate and flow‑rate models to guide strategy decisions.
• Conduct champion/challenger testing on contact strategies, offer structures and channel sequencing.
• Produce regular MIS reports on delinquency trends, bucket migration, recovery performance and vintage analysis.
• Monitor KPIs such as Contact Rate, RPC Rate, PTP Rate, kept‑PTP rate and net recovery rate.
• Translate strategy into dialer configurations, agent scripts and workflow rules with operations teams.
• Ensure all collection approaches comply with local regulations and maintain documentation of rationale and approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in collections strategy, credit risk analytics or a similar banking/fintech function.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data insights into business actions.
