Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager acts as a strategic finance business partner to the Sales teams, providing financial insights and analytical support to drive profitable growth. Working cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing and Demand Planning, the role ensures commercial decisions are backed by robust financial analysis and aligned with the company’s profitability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary Finance Business Partner to Sales, delivering financial guidance, challenging initiatives and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and analyse Sell‑In, Distributor Stock and Sell‑Out performance, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
• Review and validate sell‑out forecasts, support monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgeting cycles, ensuring commercial assumptions align with financial forecasts.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with commercial leadership, analysing market share, customer profitability and KPIs, and preparing executive presentations.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, optimise trade investments and assess ROI of promotions.
• Lead financial evaluation of New Product Development initiatives and conduct post‑launch performance reviews.
• Analyse profitability across customers, brands, channels and distributors, supporting portfolio optimisation.
