Commercial Lead

About the role

Mace is seeking a Commercial Lead to drive contract administration, cost control and commercial governance for a large‑scale digital infrastructure programme in Abu Dhabi. The role combines construction expertise with consultancy to deliver resilient, future‑ready infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute contract documents, including warranties, bonds and licences, ensuring compliance.
• Lead large, diverse teams, monitor performance against KPIs and foster continuous improvement.
• Measure valuations, maintain cost control and produce robust financial reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly post‑contract cost reports to clients.
• Identify and manage cost impacts from design changes, contract awards and client instructions.
• Assess and determine contractor and subcontractor claims related to delay and additional costs.
• Issue certificates for practical completion, defect remediation and final completion to enable final account agreement.
• Guide cost consultants to enhance cost‑management processes and support net‑zero carbon objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and experience on high‑value projects for a project‑management consultancy.
• Degree in quantity surveying or cost management (or equivalent).
• Professional membership such as MRICS/RICS (or equivalent).
• Proven bidding and business‑development experience.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of value engineering, life‑cycle costing, contract law and construction contractual frameworks.
• Management experience within large, diverse teams and senior stakeholder engagement.
