Commercial Manager – Legal Media Sales

About the role

The Commercial Manager will lead sales initiatives for Law Middle East Magazine, a leading legal news publication in the region. Reporting to senior management, the role focuses on driving advertising revenue, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the client portfolio across print, digital, and events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase print and digital advertising revenue and event partnerships.
• Identify, approach, and nurture relationships with law firms, corporate legal teams, and legal service providers.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring long‑term partnerships and repeat business.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and advertising packages to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to align sales initiatives with content strategies.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to uncover new business opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Represent the magazine at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within media, publishing, legal services, or related sectors.
• Strong network within the legal industry is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple accounts independently and meet revenue targets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field is preferred.
