Commis 1 – All Day Dining (Full-Time)

About the role

The Commis 1 supports the All Day Dining operation at JW Marriott Dubai, preparing meals, maintaining food quality, and assisting the kitchen team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Pull frozen items for thawing and ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate with the Chef about excess items and daily specials.
• Inform service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare and cook both hot and cold foods following presentation standards.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security, and uniform policies and report any hazards.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 3 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 25 lb.
