Commis 1 – Kitchen Assistant (Cook)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis 1 to join the busy kitchen at Marriott International in Dubai. In this full‑time position you will assist senior chefs with preparing, cooking and plating a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Support chefs in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place.
• Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Plate dishes accurately and ensure timely service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience as a Commis 1 or similar kitchen role.
• Professional culinary qualification.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills.
