About the role
Join the culinary team at Pullman Dubai Downtown, a 5‑star hotel in Business Bay. As a Commis 1 you will support the main kitchen operations, ensuring ingredients are ready and dishes are prepared to the hotel’s high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Stock the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients daily.
- Operate and maintain all electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment safely.
- Execute basic cooking methods, cut ingredients and prepare daily mise‑en‑place for your station.
- Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards, controlling portions and minimizing waste.
- Apply HACCP and hotel food‑safety standards throughout all tasks.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary diploma preferred.
- 1‑2 years experience in a high‑volume kitchen of a 5‑star hotel.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Required skills
- HACCP compliance.
