About the role
The Commis 2 will support the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes at Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a professional hotel kitchen and the chance to develop culinary skills.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients – washing, peeling, chopping, measuring – according to recipes.
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper storage, rotation, and assist with stock control.
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
Required profile
- Minimum 1‑2 years experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel.
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high food quality.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
