Commis 2 – Main Kitchen (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis 2 supports the main kitchen team at JW Marriott Dubai by preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This full‑time position is essential for delivering high‑quality food consistent with the hotel’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure, and mix.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Prepare cold dishes and ensure proper portioning and plating.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and maintain temperature controls.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow safety, security, and hygiene policies; report incidents and maintenance needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
