Commis 2 – Oak Room Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Oak Room at The Abu Dhabi EDITION is seeking a Commis 2 to support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality dishes and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing according to recipes.
• Cook and assemble cold and hot foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers while monitoring temperature and quality.
• Maintain workstation hygiene, disinfect tools, knives and equipment, and ensure proper food storage.
• Serve food in correct portions, set up and break down stations, and adhere to presentation standards.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report incidents and complete required training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, measuring and mixing.
