About the role
The Oak Room at The Abu Dhabi EDITION is seeking a Commis 2 to support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality dishes and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing according to recipes.
- Cook and assemble cold and hot foods, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers while monitoring temperature and quality.
- Maintain workstation hygiene, disinfect tools, knives and equipment, and ensure proper food storage.
- Serve food in correct portions, set up and break down stations, and adhere to presentation standards.
- Follow all safety, security and company policies, report incidents and complete required training.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of related kitchen experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation techniques such as chopping, portioning, measuring and mixing.
