About the role

We are seeking a Commis II to join the employee restaurant team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. The role supports daily preparation of fresh meals for colleagues in a luxury resort setting.

Key responsibilities

Assist senior chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
Prepare mise en place according to production requirements.
Follow recipes, cooking methods and portion standards.
Check and store food items, applying FIFO to minimise waste.
Maintain clean and tidy workstations and equipment.
Adhere to food safety, hygiene and health standards.
Support other kitchen sections as needed and participate in training.

Required profile

Culinary qualification or relevant kitchen operations experience.
Ability to lift, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and work on knees.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling.
Team‑player attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs.
