Commis II – Hot Kitchen (Full‑Time)

About the role

Join the culinary team at Marriott Hotel Downtown Abu Dhabi as a Commis II in the hot kitchen. You will support chefs by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in a high‑volume hotel kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, chop vegetables, and store food according to safety standards.
• Wash, peel, and measure fresh produce; weigh and mix ingredients for recipes.
• Cook hot dishes following recipes, quality, and presentation guidelines.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure correct temperatures.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve portions, and maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year relevant kitchen experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
