Communications Manager (UAE National Only)

About the role

The Communications Manager will lead a broad portfolio of communications projects for Etihad, working closely with executive leadership, internal business units, media, government entities, agencies and community partners. The role focuses on translating business priorities into compelling external narratives that enhance the airline’s reach, credibility and reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Own media and public relations, positioning the airline across local and regional markets.
• Develop, approve and distribute bilingual (Arabic & English) content for external channels, including press releases and statements.
• Coordinate media inquiries, prepare written statements and maintain regular information exchange with journalists.
• Identify PR opportunities, organise media familiarisation trips, produce press packs and manage media for events such as route launches.
• Research and map media landscapes to support route launches and portfolio campaigns.
• Lead communications for corporate, social and community priorities (Emiratisation, CSR, ESG, community engagement).
• Build and manage external profiles of executive spokespeople, securing interviews and speaking opportunities.
• Craft speeches, talking points and scripts for leadership at media events and conferences.
• Brief, manage and evaluate PR agencies, ensuring quality and value.
• Monitor coverage, sentiment and share of voice in Arabic and English media, producing regular insight reports.
• Track emerging issues and reputational risks, preparing reactive statements and Q&A in both languages.

Required profile

• UAE national with extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations.
• Proven ability to engage senior executives, media, government bodies and community stakeholders.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing bilingual content and media relations across multiple markets.
• Ability to translate business priorities into clear, credible narratives.
