Community Builder – UAE

About the role

Malt is looking for a Community Builder to lead the growth of its freelance ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates. You will act as the bridge between Malt’s global community strategy and the local market, driving platform adoption and fostering loyalty among high‑value freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the scaling of a high‑quality freelancer ecosystem through events, content, portfolio management and one‑to‑one interactions.
• Design and execute a “must‑attend” event roadmap and high‑value content strategy (newsletters, articles) tailored to the UAE market.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to align community initiatives with local sales goals and overall business objectives.
• Forge strategic partnerships with local actors such as Chambers of Commerce and freelance permit providers.
• Monitor and report on community metrics to enable data‑backed continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in sales, project management or a similar role.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the Middle East, preferably the UAE, with deep knowledge of local market dynamics.
• Growth‑mindset and ability to translate community initiatives into business value.
