Competitive Programming Expert - Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

Mindrift is looking for a freelance Competitive Programming Expert to help build and evaluate algorithmic problems that train advanced AI coding models. This project‑based role involves creating problem statements, solutions, and robust test suites to ensure high‑quality training data.

Key responsibilities

• Design original algorithmic problems with clear statements, constraints, and intended solutions.
• Write correct reference solutions in C++ and Python.
• Develop realistic wrong solutions to test the AI’s ability to detect errors.
• Generate and harden test cases, including edge cases, stress tests, and hacking inputs.
• Create checkers and interactors using testlib for problems with multiple valid answers.
• Validate that correct solutions pass and wrong solutions fail within time limits.

Required profile

• Strong competitive‑programming background demonstrated by a public Codeforces rating, IOI/ICPC record, or national olympiad achievement.
• Fluent in contest‑level C++ (STL, complexity analysis) and comfortable writing Python.
• Ability to explain why a solution is incorrect and craft inputs that break it.
• Excellent written English (C1+).
