Compliance and Risk Senior Manager

About the role

As a Compliance and Risk Senior Manager, you will support the Head of Compliance & Risk in strengthening WhizMobi's compliance and enterprise risk management framework. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide senior‑level oversight of regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, operational risk and related control structures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the compliance framework, policies, procedures and monitoring programme.
• Monitor Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) regulations and UAE legal requirements, assess impact and coordinate implementation of changes.
• Advise business functions on new products, services, partnerships and system changes, challenging any compliance gaps.
• Identify, assess and escalate regulatory breaches, compliance gaps and control weaknesses, ensuring timely remediation.
• Support regulatory reporting, CBUAE requests, inspections, supervisory reviews and remediation activities.
• Maintain compliance registers, regulatory obligations and action trackers.
• Implement and continuously improve the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Lead periodic business and operational risk assessments, develop and monitor KRIs, risk registers and risk‑appetite metrics.
• Assess control effectiveness and drive remediation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, financial crime, AML, sanctions or related risk functions.
• Strong knowledge of CBUAE regulations and UAE regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership and influence business decisions.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a detail‑oriented approach.
