Construction Manager - Marine & Geotechnical

About the role

Hill International is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead marine infrastructure and ground improvement activities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing contractors, specialist subcontractors, and the supervision consultant throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor marine and ground improvement works from execution to hand‑over.
• Supervise the performance of the Contractor and the Supervision Consultant, ensuring timely inspection and sign‑off.
• Verify progress reports and manage technical submittal and approval processes.
• Identify and implement sequencing improvements to accelerate project progress.
• Track QHSE performance, address deviations, and ensure compliance with Hill’s policies.
• Coordinate with local authorities and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering marine construction projects that include ground improvement.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale construction teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of inspection, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
