Construction Superintendent (Structural)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Structural) to lead multi‑discipline site supervision for a major infrastructure project. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and support the Construction Manager in technical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities against a 90‑day look‑ahead schedule.
• Guide subcontractors on the best methods to execute works and monitor labour and equipment efficiency.
• Verify subcontractor timesheets, equipment usage and contract compliance on reimbursable contracts.
• Review and enforce subcontractor HSSE plans, conduct toolbox talks and daily site inspections.
• Ensure ITPs and QCPs are in place before work starts and that work is executed correctly the first time.
• Identify skill shortages within subcontractor teams and communicate changes in scope to the Subcontracts Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil/structural construction sites.
• Strong understanding of contract types (reimbursable, unit rates) and scope of work documentation.
• Ability to monitor safety performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams.
