Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist in Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our leading healthcare team in Dubai. The role involves providing specialised anaesthesia care for adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries, interventional cardiology procedures and other complex cardiovascular interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive anaesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic and major vascular surgeries.
• Conduct pre‑anaesthetic evaluations, risk assessments and develop anaesthesia plans.
• Administer general anaesthesia for procedures such as CABG, valve surgery, congenital heart repairs, heart transplantation and aortic surgery.
• Provide anaesthesia support for interventional cardiology, TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterisation.
• Perform and interpret intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for surgical decision‑making.
• Manage advanced invasive haemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, cardiac output monitoring).
• Collaborate with intensivists and cardiac surgeons to deliver peri‑operative critical care.
• Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies, including resuscitation and cardiogenic shock.
• Document medical records in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of experience in cardiac anaesthesia.
• Proven ability to perform and interpret TEE.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary cardiac teams.
