Consultant Critical Care Physician – UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity ICU, organ support and multidisciplinary critical care services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Critical Care Physician to join its growing clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the ICU.
• Provide advanced organ support including ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis care.
• Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy and allied health teams.
• Guide family communication, goals‑of‑care discussions and ethical decision‑making.
• Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, audit, simulation training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgement with commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance expectations.
