Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician to join a leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering comprehensive emergency care, managing critically ill and trauma patients, and upholding the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with acute and emergency medical conditions.
• Provide immediate care for critically ill and injured patients, including emergency procedures and interventions.
• Lead resuscitation and stabilization efforts for life‑threatening cases.
• Interpret laboratory results, ECGs, imaging and other diagnostic investigations.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Make decisions regarding admission, discharge, referral and transfer of patients.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff and emergency medicine specialists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings and teaching activities.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with infection control, patient safety and quality improvement standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Significant post‑specialisation experience in emergency medicine, trauma and critical care.
• Strong clinical, communication, leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced emergency department environment.
