Consultant Geriatrician (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Geriatrician who is fluent in Arabic and English to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred care for older adults and supporting the institution’s commitment to healthy ageing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in elderly patients.
• Develop individualized care plans that address medical, functional and cognitive needs.
• Manage conditions such as dementia, frailty, falls, osteoporosis, polypharmacy and chronic diseases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including rehabilitation, nursing and social services.
• Promote preventive care, healthy ageing initiatives and patient education.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement projects and medical education activities.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Board certification, CCT or fellowship in Geriatric Medicine (or Internal Medicine with a geriatrics focus).
• Valid DOH licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum 3–5 years of consultant‑level experience in Geriatric Medicine.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Internal Medicine with specialization in Geriatrics.
• Board Certification/CCT/Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine.
• DOH License Eligibility.
• MBBS or equivalent qualification.
