Consultant Interventional Radiologist

About the role

The Consultant Interventional Radiologist will lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based radiology services at SEHA’s Abu Dhabi facilities. This senior clinical position involves direct patient care, procedural expertise, and mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive interventional radiology diagnosis, treatment planning and procedural care for inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff, including residents, specialists and general practitioners.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Collaborate with other specialties in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate holistic patient management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital, DOH and infection‑control policies.
• Engage in quality‑improvement activities such as audits, peer review and risk‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree with successful completion of a recognized specialty training program (e.g., Board Certification, Fellowship of a Royal College).
• Post‑graduate qualification such as MD, MS or DNB is preferred.
• 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Eligibility for, or a valid, Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH) medical license.
• Ability to obtain primary source verification for all educational and professional credentials.
