Consultant Ophthalmologist – UAE

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist to join a leading healthcare organization in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering comprehensive eye care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of ocular conditions, and performing surgical procedures as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess patients with various ophthalmic conditions.
• Diagnose, manage and treat diseases and disorders affecting the eyes and visual system.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries and procedures according to clinical requirements and area of specialization.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide appropriate medical and surgical care.
• Monitor patients' progress and provide follow‑up care.
• Collaborate with other physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high‑quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and clinical documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest developments, technologies, and best practices in ophthalmology.
• Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and professional standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.
• Valid specialist/consultant qualification and relevant clinical experience.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills in ophthalmology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to providing high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
