Consultant Pediatric Endocrinology – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Consultant Pediatric Endocrinology will lead the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based endocrine care for children at Tawam Hospital. This senior position involves direct patient management, supervision of junior staff, and active participation in clinical governance and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient endocrine care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up.
• Supervise and train junior medical staff, residents, and general practitioners.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other specialties.
• Ensure on‑call coverage on a rotational basis, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with Department of Health and SEHA policies.
• Engage in clinical audits, peer review, and risk‑management activities to improve patient outcomes.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Successful completion of a specialty training program (Board certification, Royal College fellowship, or equivalent DOH‑approved qualification).
• Post‑graduate qualification such as MD, MS or DNB is preferred.
• 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Eligibility to practice in the UAE under DOH regulations.
