Consultant Pediatric Otolaryngology – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant in Pediatric Otolaryngology to join our team at Sheikh Khalifa Medical Center (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality ENT care to children in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based clinical care, including examinations, diagnostics, prescribing and treatment planning for pediatric ENT patients.
• Lead ward rounds, manage inpatient and outpatient caseloads, and ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train junior doctors, residents and allied health staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with other specialties.
• Take part in on‑call rotation covering evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital, DOH and infection‑control policies.
• Engage in quality‑improvement activities, clinical audits and risk‑management processes.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, obtaining informed consent for procedures.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree with a recognized specialty training program (Board Certification, Royal College Fellowship or equivalent).
• Post‑graduate qualification such as MD, MS or DNB is preferred.
• 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Valid DOH licence to practice in Abu Dhabi (or eligibility for one).
• Ability to work within a team and provide mentorship to junior staff.
