Consultant Physician – Pediatric Radiology

About the role

The Consultant Physician in Pediatric Radiology leads the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based imaging services for children at SKMC. This senior clinical position involves diagnosing, managing and treating patients while providing mentorship and training to junior medical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support junior radiology staff, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, review inpatient and outpatient cases, and adjust treatment plans based on investigation results.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to coordinate holistic patient management.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies on admissions, consultations, procedures, and discharge.
• Assist the Division Chief with scheduling, recruitment, and performance‑management activities.
• Ensure appropriate utilization of resources and obtain informed consent for procedures.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician with specialist expertise in pediatric radiology.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership within the specialty.
• Experience supervising junior medical staff and contributing to departmental initiatives.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence‑based practice.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pediatric imaging modalities and interpretation.
• Ability to document clinical information clearly and promptly.
