Consultant Rheumatologist – Full‑time in Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its autoimmune and inflammatory joint disease services. The organisation seeks a Consultant Rheumatologist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering high‑quality care to a diverse, international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, connective tissue disease, vasculitis, gout, osteoporosis and other autoimmune disorders.
• Prescribe, monitor and adjust DMARDs, biologics, immunosuppressants and infusion therapies safely.
• Perform joint assessments, injections and musculoskeletal ultrasound where within scope.
• Coordinate care with nephrology, dermatology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and physiotherapy.
• Track disease progression, treatment response and medication‑related risks.
• Educate patients on disease control, medication safety, lifestyle modification and flare management.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, audit and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Rheumatologist with recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/MRCP, European Board, Royal College Canada, Australian FRACP, Arab Board, DM/DNB/FCPS).
• Experience in managing complex rheumatic diseases in a hospital or specialised clinic setting.
• Commitment to patient‑centred communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.
