Consultant Specialist – Cardiac Surgery (UK CCT)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant / Specialist Cardiac Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical care for patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions in a state‑of‑the‑art environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and manage patients requiring cardiac surgical intervention.
• Perform and assist with major cardiac procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve surgery.
• Provide pre‑operative evaluation and develop individualized surgical plans.
• Manage high‑risk and complex cardiac cases in collaboration with cardiologists, anesthesiologists and intensivists.
• Participate in emergency cardiac surgery and on‑call services.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement, teaching and research activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular / Cardiac Surgery.
• Significant post‑specialty experience in cardiac surgery, preferably at senior consultant level.
• Valid professional registration/license for practice in the UAE.
• Strong clinical judgment, surgical decision‑making and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
