Consultant Specialist Neurosurgeon (UK CCT)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Specialist Neurosurgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients with complex neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients requiring neurosurgical intervention.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures on the brain, spine, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.
• Conduct pre‑operative evaluations, develop individualized surgical plans and provide post‑operative care.
• Participate in on‑call emergency services and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to teaching, research and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery with substantial post‑specialty experience.
• Valid professional registration/license in the UAE.
• Senior‑level qualifications such as UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board or South African Board are highly encouraged.

Required skills

• Complex cranial and/or spinal neurosurgical procedures.
• Minimally invasive or advanced neurosurgical techniques.
• Strong surgical judgment and clinical decision‑making.
