Consultant/Specialist General Surgeon – Dubai, Tax‑Free UAE Role

About the role

A leading UAE healthcare provider is expanding its surgical services and seeks a Consultant or Specialist General Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The hospital is JCI‑accredited, offers modern operating theatres and serves a diverse international patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery care.
• Perform elective and emergency procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nursing staff and critical‑care specialists to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
• Support the development and expansion of surgical services.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑specialist or board certification experience.
• Recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Surgery, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, FCPS, MS, DM, DNB, MCH).
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH licence conversion (full support provided).
