Controls Technician – Service & Maintenance

About the role

The Controls Technician will report to the Field Line Manager/Sr. Operations Team Leader, Aftermarket and be based in Dubai. The role focuses on service, maintenance and small retrofit work on Building Management System (BMS) solutions for data centres, retail and commercial buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Execute service, maintenance and retrofit tasks on BMS installations.
• Test, commission and integrate BMS systems, including third‑party devices.
• Develop graphics and apply basic programming logic for system configuration.
• Prepare AMC documentation and coordinate with customers for data‑center maintenance.
• Work with subcontractors to complete BMS installations and rectifications.
• Plan, schedule, monitor and control service execution to meet KPIs and SLA targets.
• Attend critical infrastructure sites, ensure health & safety compliance and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Support senior engineers on product end‑of‑life, replacement and upgrade projects.
• Identify business growth opportunities and propose service‑delivery improvements.
• Conduct site surveys, root‑cause analysis and produce dilapidation reports.
• Recommend system enhancements, upgrades or replacements as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience with BMS, HVAC and controls maintenance.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
• Excellent planning, time‑management and coordination skills.
