Corporate Fleet Technical Superintendent – Maritime Logistics

About the role

Based at the corporate office in Dubai, the Corporate Fleet Technical Superintendent supports and manages the repair, maintenance and overall technical upkeep of P&O Maritime Logistics’ fleet in the most cost‑effective and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities

• Control and manage dockings, special surveys, upgrades, modifications, breakdowns, major accidents/incidents and related projects.
• Provide technical support for procurement, insurance matters and P&I claims, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Prepare detailed project, job and docking specifications in collaboration with regional technical personnel.
• Liaise with Central Procurement to source cost‑effective spare parts and ensure timely availability on site.
• Travel to vessels or sites as required to support technical activities.
• Coordinate activities of yard personnel, OEM service engineers, subcontractors and other service providers.
• Interact with regional offices, country managers and technical parties to maintain effective communication.
• Negotiate with equipment and material suppliers, contribute to tender documents, budgets and cost monitoring.
• Monitor and control technical costs against budgets, report deviations and support on‑board Planned Preventive Maintenance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to manage fleet‑wide technical activities such as dockings, surveys, upgrades and major incident response.
• Experience working with procurement, insurance brokers and P&I claim processes.
• Proven track record of preparing accurate technical specifications and managing multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with regional offices, country managers and external service providers.
