CSE Engineer - New Building Solutions

About the role

KONE is looking for a CSE Engineer (Product) to provide technical expertise on the optimal KONE product for each customer. The engineer translates customer needs into product‑specific requirements and coordinates all engineering work until the project is handed over to maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales to select the best KONE product for non‑standard and special‑engineering requirements.
• Prepare competitive offers and ensure accurate product costing, including supply line, installation, maintenance and project‑management costs.
• Create detailed custom product specifications for corporate and local materials, perform energy calculations and simple traffic analyses.
• Conduct technical site surveys and manage the technical content of orders from MS 0b to MS 2z.
• Coordinate product lead times with supply line and local sourcing, ensuring availability.
• Verify installability of proposed products and assess cost and work‑effort impact of installation.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of KONE elevators, escalators and autowalks, including machine‑room‑less solutions.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into detailed engineering specifications.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities across sales, field operations and maintenance teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KONE elevator, escalator and autowalk product families.
• Ability to perform non‑standard energy calculations and basic traffic analyses.
