Cybersecurity Specialist – Remote Hourly Contract

About the role

This position is for an experienced cybersecurity professional to support advanced AI research and evaluation projects. You will design realistic enterprise security scenarios, produce reference outputs, and build evaluation frameworks that mirror real‑world security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document cybersecurity scenarios covering SOC monitoring, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management and security architecture.
• Create tasks for threat detection, penetration testing, security engineering and GRC using tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable and Qualys.
• Apply threat modeling, risk assessment and incident response methodologies to produce reference incident reports, security assessments and compliance documentation.
• Design rubrics that differentiate authentic enterprise security judgment from textbook knowledge.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer, CISO, Security Lead or equivalent role.
• Proven ownership of incident response, security architecture or compliance initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, tooling, risk management and current threat landscape.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001 or EU NIS2 frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, technical and written communication skills.
