Data Governance Specialist – Collibra Architect

About the role

The Data Governance Specialist – Collibra Architect will lead the end‑to‑end design, deployment and evolution of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform for Al Tayer Group. This strategic, hands‑on role partners with the Data Governance Office and business‑IT teams to operationalise data catalog, lineage, quality and stewardship at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy Collibra DGC (cloud or on‑prem) including environment strategy, sizing, high availability and secure edge connectivity.
• Design operating models – communities, domains, asset taxonomy and stewardship responsibilities aligned to enterprise governance.
• Configure security, SSO/SAML, SCIM provisioning and granular permissions per Group IT standards.
• Implement metadata ingestion via Collibra Edge connectors for AWS, Redshift, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, ERP and Power BI.
• Engineer automated technical lineage and integrate business, logical and physical lineage across the data estate.
• Define onboarding playbooks, data quality rule framework, and deploy Collibra Data Quality & Observability (Spark‑based engine, agents, JDBC).
• Surface data‑quality findings in the catalog and integrate alerts with BMC Helix, ServiceNow and Microsoft Teams.
• Design and develop Collibra workflows, APIs and automation to support data stewardship processes.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data catalog, metadata management or related fields.
• Proven hands‑on experience as a Collibra architect or senior specialist.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems, cloud data platforms and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to work strategically with business and IT stakeholders to drive trusted data usage.
