About the role

As a Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery at Shangri‑La Dubai, you will support the daily operations of the Pastry Kitchen, delivering high‑quality baked goods for a luxury hotel environment. You will work closely with senior chefs to maintain the brand’s reputation for culinary excellence while adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of bakery items, following established recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain food hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards throughout the kitchen.
• Monitor and report any equipment maintenance needs promptly.
• Control food waste and contribute to cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient.
• Support training and development of junior team members when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery in a hotel or high‑volume culinary operation.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
• Passion for food quality, creativity, and presentation.
• Team‑player with a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Good communication skills in English and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
