Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join the bakery team at our Westin hotel in Dubai Marina. The role involves preparing a variety of baked and cold foods while maintaining the high quality and presentation standards expected by our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fresh produce.
• Measure, weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality checklists.
• Cook and bake foods, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test for proper doneness.
• Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated items in correct portions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, including tools, knives and equipment.
• Monitor appliance and food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations at the start and end of each shift.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions to the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a bakery or culinary environment.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Food preparation, including portioning, chopping and mixing.
