Demi Chef De Partie

About the role

ibis World Trade Centre, part of Accor, is looking for an experienced Demi Chef De Partie to join its kitchen team. The role covers the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes to the established standards of quality, taste and consistency, and manages a specific kitchen station such as grill, sauté, pastry or pantry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and plate dishes according to standardized recipes, menu specifications and guest preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies for the assigned station.
• Follow food handling, storage and sanitation guidelines to keep the kitchen clean and safe.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the station efficiently and coordinate with fellow chefs and kitchen staff during service.
• Collaborate with the Chef De Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef on new recipes, dishes and menu items, and give input on sourcing, costing, portion control and presentation.
• Train and mentor junior cooks, commis chefs and apprentices, and foster teamwork and continuous learning.
• Conduct taste tests, quality checks and plate presentations, and address guest feedback, special requests and dietary restrictions.
• Work with servers, front-of-house staff and management on food quality and service issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized station and monitor food waste and supplies to control costs.

Required profile

• Culinary degree or equivalent culinary certification preferred.
• Proven experience in a professional kitchen, with expertise in a specific station or cuisine.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen and multitask during peak service.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
