Deputy Operations Manager – Industrial Services

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to lead our Industrial Services (IS) team in Abu Dhabi. The role oversees third‑party inspections, QA/QC activities and the efficient use of resources while supporting the Technical Manager in strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of industrial services, including in‑service inspections, welding, painting and NDT inspections.
• Manage resource allocation and ensure optimal utilisation of staff and equipment.
• Assist the Technical Manager in developing and implementing departmental strategies and policies.
• Conduct inspections and certifications in line with TÜV SÜD procedures, statutory requirements and relevant codes.
• Drive the development of conventional and advanced NDT programmes and provide consultancy.
• Support bid preparation, technical and commercial proposals, and collaborate with sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–15 years of experience in industrial services, inspection or related fields.
• Proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing operations.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving abilities.

• ISO 9001 QMS Auditor
• NACE certification
• Welding certification (CSWIP IWE)
• BGAS certification
• NDT Level III
• Painting inspection knowledge
• MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
