Deputy Project Manager Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is seeking a motivated Deputy Project Manager to support the delivery of infrastructure design projects in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with the Project Manager, assisting in planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination while stepping in to make decisions when the Project Manager is unavailable.

Key responsibilities

• Identify client and stakeholder project needs and define clear goals.
• Create detailed project plans and schedules across all design disciplines.
• Support the Project Manager in task delegation, team coordination, and progress tracking.
• Maintain project documentation in collaboration with the Document Controller.
• Review, proof, and approve design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with the Project Control team to monitor and report project progress.
• Liaise with clients, statutory authorities, and design consultants for approvals and submissions.
• Act on behalf of the Project Manager, exercising delegated decision‑making authority.
• Oversee design quality assurance, QA/QC processes, and technical reviews.
• Manage administrative functions such as meetings, invoices, cost estimates, and support budget, schedule, risk, and contract administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Proven experience supporting project managers on design‑focused infrastructure projects.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
