Design Engineer

About the role

BEEAH is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join its Recycling team. The role focuses on creating detailed designs and drafts for waste‑treatment facilities covering municipal, healthcare, industrial hazardous, and fallen‑stock waste streams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements to identify design insights and risks.
• Prepare detailed layouts and cross‑sectional drawings for various waste‑treatment plants.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure integrated plant designs.
• Develop accurate Bills of Quantities for civil, electromechanical and infrastructure components.
• Design systems for Material Recovery Facilities, composting, RDF processing, incineration, autoclaves, stabilization methods and engineered landfills.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations while promoting sustainable solutions.
• Produce design reports, specifications and support construction and commissioning phases.
• Coordinate with project managers, operators and clients during design reviews and technical presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or mechanical engineering (or related fields such as business administration, data science, marketing, design).
• Relevant certifications or courses in waste management are a plus.
