MEP Estimation & Tendering Engineer (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Estimation Engineer to lead the tendering process for our projects in Dubai. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep knowledge of UAE MEP practices, and the ability to deliver accurate cost estimates from start to submission.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, BOQs, specifications and contract requirements.
• Prepare complete MEP cost estimates and tender prices for Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and ELV systems.
• Perform digital quantity take‑offs using Plan Swift and maintain related assemblies and templates.
• Develop detailed rate analyses covering materials, labour, equipment and subcontract works.
• Obtain, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets and competitive pricing based on current UAE market conditions.
• Identify exclusions, assumptions, risks and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, QS and project teams throughout the tender stage.
• Maintain databases of material prices, supplier rates and historical tender data.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in MEP estimation and tendering, preferably with an established MEP contracting firm.
• Proven ability to manage the full tender cycle independently.
• Strong knowledge of UAE MEP construction practices, market rates and local suppliers.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
