Design Team Lead BIM

About the role

Lead and mentor a team of BIM Coordinators in Dubai, overseeing the creation of 3D busbar layout models and 2D shop drawings, while ensuring project delivery aligns with Vertiv’s standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training and performance reviews for BIM Coordinators, assigning tasks based on skill sets and project deadlines.
• Coordinate project execution by delegating BIM work, organizing review meetings, and maintaining oversight of the full project lifecycle.
• Act as primary liaison between BIM Coordinators and the BIM Manager, communicating updates, changes and resource needs.
• Ensure quality control by reviewing and approving drawings, tracking BOQ changes, and supervising site measurements.
• Manage project closeout activities, guaranteeing error‑free design outputs, proper file organization and delivery of a comprehensive closeout report.
• Promote compliance with Vertiv’s HSE, equal‑opportunity and inclusion policies, fostering a positive team environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading BIM teams, providing mentorship and conducting performance evaluations.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary project tasks, organize review sessions and ensure timely delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as the main point of contact between coordinators and management.
• Commitment to quality, safety and company policies throughout design and site activities.
