Design Technology Teacher (AY27‑28)

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for a Design Technology Teacher to join its network of schools for the 2027‑28 academic year. As a leading education group in Abu Dhabi, the role supports inclusive, innovative learning that empowers students and aligns with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Design Technology curriculum using appropriate syllabus, materials and schemes of work.
• Plan, prepare and present lessons that meet the needs of the whole ability range, including SEN, EAL and gifted & talented students.
• Organise classroom resources, create engaging displays and facilitate hybrid, distance‑learning and face‑to‑face sessions.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, acting as a positive role model.
• Reflect on teaching practice, adjust planning and curriculum to improve student outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in an international school setting.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not the first language (EAL).
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse, multicultural community of parents and staff.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
