Director, International Market Access BBU & OBU

About the role

Based in Dubai, you will lead the development and execution of pricing, reimbursement and value strategies for AstraZeneca’s oncology and biopharmaceutical portfolios across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. The role connects global, regional and local teams to create compelling value propositions and launch plans that ensure timely patient access while maintaining affordability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive international market access initiatives, including AI substantiation tools, to meet AI30 goals and expand patient reach.
• Co‑develop and implement integrated market access strategies for BBU (R&I, CVRM, V&I) and OBU across priority markets.
• Lead pricing governance simplification and financial process optimisation for wave‑1 product launches.
• Support affiliates in navigating payer, HTA and reimbursement environments, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Build and mentor regional market access capabilities through frameworks, tools and training programmes.
• Collaborate with OMAP/GMAP and Global Governmental Affairs on strategic payer policy shaping.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in pharmaceutical market access, pricing and reimbursement.
• Strong understanding of diverse payer systems and health‑technology assessment processes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, align cross‑functional teams and drive launch excellence.
• Experience in developing capability‑building initiatives across multiple regions.
