Director - Management Accounting

About the role

The Director of Management Accounting leads the finance function for the region, delivering accurate monthly management reports, board packs, forecasts and annual budgets. This senior position works closely with BU heads and the CFO to provide insight that drives strategic decisions and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a robust monthly management reporting pack with variance analysis against budget.
• Assist the CFO in preparing Board Packs and ensure timely submission of regional finance data.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, managing timelines and assumptions.
• Develop and enforce finance policies, standards and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Support commercial teams with contract reviews and profitability analysis.
• Ensure compliance with UAE and overseas regulatory requirements.
• Lead the consolidation of sub‑budgets (manpower, revenue, SSD) and review expenditure approvals.
• Partner with Payables, Receivables and other finance functions for payment authorisations and audit liaison.
• Design and maintain costing and profitability analysis systems.
• Drive talent attraction, retention and development within the finance team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and influence senior business leaders.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the UAE and international contexts.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation.
